Likely the last update of Fortnite Season 8, and even Chapter 2, is here and it will bring a long-awaited character into the game, so there’s a lot of excitement surrounding it.

Although we don’t know for sure if Chapter 2 has end with this season, we know that December will mark the end of Season 8, so there’s still time for players to get excited about what the future holds for Fortnite.

Whatever the case may be, we have to get past the v18.40 update first. This is going to be a big event, so expect some downtime. This usually happens with your numbered updates, so that’s why there’s some downtime here versus why there wasn’t last week despite new additions.

The Fortnite update will come with a downtime, and that means the game will go offline once the patch is rolled out.

This will happen at 4 a.m. ET / 1 a.m. pacific time on November 16. Normally, this will last about an hour, and that means you’ll need to do whatever anything other than playing Fortnite during that time.

Once the downtime is over, you’ll have to install the update on your console, phone, or PC. When that’s over, you’ll be able to fire up the game and see what’s new.

Something that a major update like this brings is bug fixes. These are the things you can follow on Trello board, but if you don’t complete the task, we will help you.

Here’s an overview of everything scheduled to be fixed in this next update.

  • Items in the Collection Book disappear when using Performance mode.
  • Vehicles can desynchronize when the player exits the vehicle.

There’s still time to add more to this list, so let’s also look at what’s scheduled to be fixed in a future game update, be it this or this in the near future.

  • Impostors: Disqualified players cannot hear non-eliminated players during the Discussion phase.
  • Weapons can sometimes disappear from Chests and Supply Drops.
  • Campfires above lvl 130 are shown as 130 (Save the World)
  • The Hero Force in the Lobby cannot be swapped while the controller is in use. (Save the World)
  • 4x missions not showing 4x rewards (Save the World)
  • Players can hide from other players after respawning (Save the World)

All in all, there’s not much to fix for this update, which is actually a good thing. No one likes to play a game with bugs, and there haven’t really been any breaks this season.

Naruto time

The main attraction of this update is Naruto, so if you’re a fan of this anime and manga character, you’re in luck.

We’re going to take him as a skin, and it looks like a lot of people will join him. Have a chance more characters will show up as skins and they should at least be NPCs.

Fortnite leaker Shiina says there will be a Mythic Kunai Weapon, so all Naruto cosmetics will be here and we are happy to recommend!
