When you take time to collate a business plan, you invest physically in your business. You see where opportunities lie, and you see who your customers are and what they want. If you do not take time out to create and implement a business plan, then you will not get your business off to the right start simply because you will not know where to focus your efforts on.

The Overheads and Expenses

Even if you are starting a business that is based at your home, you will still have overheads and expenses to think about. In the beginning, when you are pushing your business, you may find that achieving a work/life balance is difficult, to say the least. Building a brand and a business that gets known, seen, and recognized takes hard work and dedication, and sometimes this is when you will struggle to find a balance. Taking the days as they come and not isolating yourself from friends and family will help you to achieve a work/life balance, which might not be quite there in those first few weeks or months.
